KILI MERU GUIDES SOCIETY

 Kili-Meru Guides Society is an non-government organization (NGO) focused at supporting guides and porters who climb both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. It was Established in the year 2023 by a team of 220 members who constantly climb Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru whilst sharing their experiences and skills and helping clients accomplish their trekking adventures.

Our guides are professionally trained and equipped to ensure smooth trekking and safety of clients from commencement of the trekking adventures to descending. As
part of the community obligations, we ensure that they are occasionally trained, they undergo necessary awareness campaigns where they attain skills to better deliver their services whilst at the same time they get the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.

Visitors are given the opportunity to experience excellent lever of guide services from experienced and skilled guides and porters as they strive to reach their destination and achieve their trekking goals at the roofs of both Kilimanjaro and Meru as will be their itineraries based on choice of adventure and route.

As a nonprofit entity, we ensure that we create equal opportunities for guides and porters and maintain networks with clients and other organizations to empower the support teams and give them the necessary training and skills they need to provide world class services that meet and exceed client expectations. We provide the opportunity for clients to successfully arrive at the top of the roof of Africa, Kilimanjaro and the second tallest mountain in Tanzania, Mount Meru. Kilimanjaro is the world’s tallest free standing volcanic mountain that can be climbed where most climbers dream to summit as part of their adventures in their travel bucket lists.

Our experienced and professional tour guides accompany groups of visitors in their adventure to the roof of Africa, in course of the adventures, they brief them and give them knowledge of the scenic views and unique flora and fauna coupled with breathtaking landscapes as they walk in the changing geographical landscapes during their trekking adventures towards to summit. Given their extensive experiences, in- depth trainings, and constant skills upgrade seminars, our guides have attained the requisite knowledge and awareness through which they are able to give the clients the complete image of the experience as they move in different areas and landscapes as part of their tour on their way to the top.

Attractions include both natural phenomena and historical findings that are part of the trekking and travel experience as you ascend. The association ensures availability of the best guides for your trekking experience at all times. Amongst other services, out guides offer translation, interpretation, and other support services including first aid as they trek with clients from start to finish.

of illnesses and /or accidents

- Organization and training on matters pertaining to safety issues in the interest of both guides and

career and personal development

- Establishment of communication with the donor funding entities and organizations, companies,

and other domestic and international institutions that are interested to support guides

- Planning for projects collaborative initiatives among guides targeted at improving the livelihood of the guides to facilitate sustainable trekking services
